Language Challenge 180: Day 1 Email

by Corey

Dear Language Challenge 180 Friends,

Things got off to a great start yesterday! I hope you got the chance to get to know our sponsors and their products. The discounts you saw will be around until March 9th.

When it comes to language-learning products, there are so many to choose from. It is difficult to know which ones to use. Unfortunately, no one can answer this for us. We are the only ones who can know what makes language learning enjoyable and productive for us. My husband enjoys analyzing a language up front to figure out the structure before he jumps in too far. I prefer to jump in and start using sentences right away, analyzing only when I can’t figure out something. Neither of these approaches is better or worse. The key is finding out what works for us through trial and error.

Our focus this week: This week we are going to focus on figuring out what language-learning resources we have available to us/our children (at home, online, in the community, etc.). We are also going to do a short assessment of our language skills to find out where we think we are at right now and where we’d like to be by the end of Language Challenge 180. Go to our Language Challenge 180: Day 1 post to get started!

We also tell you what we think is the key ingredient to successful language learning in our Language Challenge 180: Day 1 post – see if you can figure out what it is.

We hope you are as excited as we are to start this language journey!

Talk with you again on Monday,
Corey Heller
