This is the Language Challenge 180 page for American Sign Language (ASL). We like Signing time. and also took a singing, signing spanish class.

We also have an ASL dictionary that comes in very handy.

I think this is ASL-based. I’ve subscribed to the channel on YouTube because I found this song so useful:
It’s all about potty training so I looked up the signs in BSL for us. If you’re child is pre-school age it’s probably a great channel to have a look round. There’s loads of signing on YouTube.

We generally sign with a mix of BSL (British Sign Language) and Makaton. I’ve heard that signing can reinforce language learning and wonder if anyone has heard of any research or experience that signing reinforces second/third etc language learning or multilingual living? I currently have access to academic journals so could look things up – I’ve not found anything myself, unfortunately.
