April Fool’s Day Around the World
How did you celebrate April 1st? Did you stick a fish onto the back of your coworkers? Or play a practical joke on your spouse? Here is a great post about April Fool’s Day Around the World from Le Blog – anything in that list that looks familiar?

April Fool’s Day Humor
As is the tradition, the media often print a fake story on the 1st of April. Here are some that I enjoyed:

The Worlds Cultures
Larry Ferlazzo does it again with an excellent compilation post, this time it’s The Best Sites for Learning about the World’s Different Cultures. I am certain that there is something in this list that will be of interest to your child, especially if you and your child have been discussing global events!

One of my favorite’s from his list is the What the World Eats photo essay at Time Magazine. Seeing what people around the world eat says so much about each of us and our cultures!

News, Stories, and More…
The following are news reports, research, stories and more that came my way via Twitter this week:

What Americans Sound Like
This is a hilarious video about What American English Sounds Like to Non-English Speakers! Oh goodness, dislike my accent more than ever!
